BASIC FUNCTION:

This position is responsible for providing communications leadership to moderately complex, sales and marketing communication initiatives and programs as well as developing, coordinating and implementing internal and/or external communications strategies for HCSC. Interfacing with high level executives at HCSC, and other aligned partners to gain strategic direction; and recommending and developing plans and multifaceted communication tactics to meet corporate objectives. Supporting the communication needs of senior management, business units, subsidiaries, etc., as well as serving as managing editor for various publications, including key special projects such as the board report; and for supervising staff and overseeing all corporate communications-related activities.

NOTE: This role is hybrid/flex and requires in-office visibility three days weekly - relocation will not be extended, sponsorship is not available.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of experience in communications or public relations. 
  • Leadership experience and skills. 
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic plans. 
  • Experience influencing the decision-making process and interacting with high-level executives and challenging clients with confidence. 
  • Organizational and project management skills. 
  • Public relations skills to respond to situations with political appropriateness and sensitivity. 
  • Experience with software application programs, such as Microsoft Office Suite of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and databases.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s Degree. 
  • Sales and Marketing Communications experience. 
  • Health insurance, healthcare industry or consulting experience. 
  • Experience with Excel and Visio. 
  • Salesforce experience.
