Position Details

Manager, Digital Marketing

The Manager, Digital Marketing is accountable for leading the development and implementation of marketing campaigns across digital channels, including paid search, programmatic, and social. This role is responsible for supporting lead generation that aligns the overarching strategy of Thrivent including reinforcing our brand, target audiences, and making significant contributions to our growth goals. In addition to lead generation, this role will support campaign execution for product marketing and membership. This role has accountability for driving results and prioritizing work for team in support of our goals.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain a high-performing team; select, develop, coach, reward and recognize team members. 
  • Accountable for owning and providing leadership to large marketing programs/initiatives that drive client acquisition. Leverages organizational and marketing acumen to drive development of marketing strategies that align with key corporate strategies and goals. 
  • Provides leadership to a team of marketing associates and specialists; coaches and directs activities of the team to ensure for flawless execution of marketing tactics. Helps to grow organizational marketing acumen by translating marketing strategies/vision into actionable tactics. 
  • Works with research and analytics teams to determine business opportunities, model consumer behaviors, gather field insights/feedback and track results. Coach team around the use of analytics and data to help drive improvements to marketing programs/initiatives that result in greater ROI. 
  • Brings a development and continuous improvement mindset to the work of the team; continuously looking for ways to leverage technology to reduce costs and to drive more effective and impactful marketing campaigns. 
  • Laser focus on maximizing investments in digital to gain efficient ROI

Required Job Qualifications:

  • College degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or Business; MBA a plus. 
  • 8+ years experience in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or Business. 
  • 5+ years experience work in Adwords/Bing, DSPs, and/or Facebook Ads Manager. 
  • Extensive experience in one or several marketing disciplines. 
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills. 
  • Excellent business acumen; financial services experience a plus.

Other Critical Factors:

  • Stakeholder and vendor management experience required. 
  • High aptitude in managing digital budgets 
  • Ability to work cross-functionally within and outside of marketing
