The Manager, Global Loyalty & Corporate Brand Communications is responsible for driving the strategic development and execution of communications initiatives designed to (a) elevate awareness of the World of Hyatt loyalty program among targeted internal and external audiences and (b) drive awareness of global consumer-facing Hyatt corporate brand news, partnerships and offers. This role is dedicated to driving communications strategy for World of Hyatt and Hyatt corporate brand (global offers/packages, partnerships, new products, insights, and analytics, etc.), in close strategic alignment with brand communication and brand marketing efforts.

The role will manage related PR agency efforts, strategies, and activations. Reporting to the Director, Global Field & Brand Communications, the individual in this position will be a key member of the Global Communications team and a trusted partner for the World of Hyatt loyalty and corporate B2C brand marketing teams to strategize communications programming to help achieve key priorities for loyalty program and corporate brand marketing.

This position will provide strategic communication counsel to business partners and support the business with expert service, work in close collaboration across a variety of projects with multiple internal teams, including Brand, Social Media, Digital, Commercial Services, Development, Transactions, Legal, etc., to lend Communications counsel and support.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop communications programs to support key World of Hyatt and corporate brand initiatives and programs, with a focus on informing and inspiring target audiences and promoting the World of Hyatt loyalty program.
  • Drive on-strategy loyalty communications and corporate brand storytelling across external media relations and internal channels, in partnership with communications and corporate brand PR and creative agencies and relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Act as liaison and relationship lead between Communications and the World of Hyatt and corporate brand marketing teams; Drive communication efforts in support of the World of Hyatt loyalty program and corporate brand strategies; determine and execute appropriate communication strategies for loyalty program updates, partnership initiatives, member offers, media and blogger engagement
  • Develop and provide strategic communications counsel to support Hyatt corporate brand strategies and priorities; determine and execute appropriate communication strategies for global offers, partnerships, consumer-facing corporate brand news (including M&A, brand portfolio growth), media and blogger engagement.
  • Develop, edit, review, route for approvals, distribute various press materials, including but not limited to: Press releases, messaging documents, bios and executive briefing books for corporate spokesperson media and speaking opportunities
  • Distribution of press releases via Hyatt Newsroom and Business Wire for World of Hyatt, corporate brand press materials 
  • Hyattconnect / Hyatt Check-In content in conjunction with press announcements 
  • Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt core values – respect, integrity, humility, empathy, creativity and fun.

Experience:

  • 6-8 years of experience, PR agency or in-house consumer communications experience; experience with loyalty communications is a strong plus. 
  • Travel/tourism/hospitality experience is a strong plus. 
  • Strong media relations experience, media contacts, results-oriented pitching experience, and social media affinity. 
  • Strong writing, editing and verbal skills. 
  • Proactive, creative, strategic thinker and problem-solver with excellent listening, presentation, and communication skills – and ability to translate complex corporate messages into tangible, clearly understood deliverables. 
  • Extensive spokesperson, agency/outside resource management experience. 
  • High level of passion for communications and quality work. 
  • Strong empathetic orientation and high level of personal commitment/caring; unquestionable integrity. 
  • Ability to draft a wide range of press materials and content (press releases, key messaging, interview briefing books, social content, scripts, articles, etc.). 
  • Excellent networking and relationship-building skills and the ability to act with confidence in dealing with various. levels and functions. 
  • Effective decision maker who is able to be flexible and possess strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Marketing or Communications

Computer Skills Needed to Perform this Job:

  • Solid working knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite
