Summary of the Role:

At Kraft Heinz - we believe that our Internal communications keep employees connected - engaged - and informed. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in writing and executing strategic communications plans - project managing multi-faceted initiatives - building and fostering relationships across business functions - and developing effective- communications programs to help drive company goals - organizational messages - and updates to the US Zone employee base at Kraft Heinz.

Candidates should be excellent writers - strategic thinkers - and skilled at managing relationships with senior corporate leadership.

Responsibilities:

Drive Kraft Heinz Communications;

  • Drive our People agenda at Kraft Heinz through partnering with our HR department to develop and execute strategic plans related to Diversity & Inclusion - Talent - Learning & Development - Benefits - UR - etc.. 
  • Partnering with our Manufacturing teams to launch zone-wide initiatives and assist with issue management. 
  • Develop and drive proactive communications plans and campaigns around our purpose - values - vision- and leadership principles. 
  • Assisting on developing plans and materials and executing organizational announcements 
  • Play key role in executing Zone wide events incl quarterly town halls - zone conferences - and informal leader events. 
  • Improve and manage exciting internal comms tools - including newsletters - intranet - and social apps. 
  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and represent the communications group in cross-functional teams across Kraft Heinz. 
  • Developing external content to support Kraft Heinz and leadership visibility

Organize/Build Channels of Communication

  • Prior experience developing internal tools including intranet or similar channel 
  • Assess current channels of communications and develop a concise plan for efficiency. 
  • Set standards for company-wide communications to ensure their value. 
  • Identify and prioritize what needs to be communicated to employees. 
  • Ensure organizational initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders 
  • Plan - edit - and write content for a variety of internal communications mediums. 
  • Draft messages or scripts from senior executives for presentation to employees in written or spoken form 
  • Ensure internal communications messages are consistent 
  • Handle the internal communication response to crisis situations that affect organizational perception and reputation 
  • Manage the Company’s internal events and employee giving initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Writing skills: You need excellent writing - editing - and proofreading skills as well as the journalistic ability to source stories from employees. 
  • Strategic thinker: You need to be able to design and execute strategic communication strategies and be able to execute flawlessly. 
  • Speaking skills: You also need strong speaking skills as you are likely to be called on to give presentations to staff. 
  • Strong voice: You need to have a point of view and the confidence to make decisions and recommendations to leadership 
  • Interpersonal skills: You need good interpersonal and relationship-building skills in order to work with communications and HR departments. You also need to possess the confidence to deal with senior executives and explain communication techniques to them. 
  • Creative skills: You need the ability to devise creative communication strategies and campaigns. 
  • Technical Savvy: You need to be able to navigate new technologies and have knowledge of the latest innovative communication technology to deliver a more modern communication experience. 
  • Ability to manage departmental budget. 
  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in journalism - communications - public relations - visual design or marketing. 
  • 8 + communications experience at a large corporate organization - with some portion of that experience in internal communications - specifically

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience communicating to a broad employee population 
  • Experience leading employee communications programs and campaigns 
  • Experience managing projects simultaneously 
  • Experience working autonomously and collaboratively on a team 
  • Experience in the technology industry a plus 
  • Experience working with Manufacturing - including unions - is a plus
