Job Summary:

In your role as Manager, Internal Communications, you will be managing and executing the strategic communication plan for GPN Americas across multiple audiences, functions and channels. You’ll be responsible for ensuring all content aligns with the regional vision, purpose, strategy, values, priorities, messaging, programs, and initiatives. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Communications, you will work collaboratively with the global communications team, functional teams and brand teams to ensure message alignment and execution excellence. This is an individual contributor role and is based out of our Downers Grove, IL office.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage execution of internal communications plans that support GPN Americas business strategy, as well as the GPN people agenda and position as an employer of choice. 
  • Act as lead communications partner for functional teams (sales, finance, supply chain, R&D).
  • Lead communications that support the companies Employee Resource Groups. 
  • Partner with the external communications team to amplify brand and corporate reputation communications to internal audiences. 
  • Lead planning and execution of internal communication platforms (e.g. Intranet, Yammer, Newsletters, Emails) to drive employee awareness and engagement. 
  • Partner with creative services to develop company and functional team videos, webinars, vlogs, etc. 
  • Support internal functional meetings and town halls with PowerPoint presentations, key messaging, Q&A, employee surveys, etc.

Education and Experience:

  • 4 Year/Bachelors Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related field with an understanding of communications principles and practices. 
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in communications role. 
  • Food and/or health and wellness industry experience preferred.

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, including both advanced written and oral communications. 
  • Fluent in AP style. 
  • Strong project-management skills, including the ability to meet tight deadlines and juggle multiple priorities. 
  • Detail oriented and able to execute flawlessly on projects in a fast-paced, often pressured environment. 
  • Able to work independently, as well as effectively with a variety of internal business partners throughout the organization and external vendors. 
  • Possess a positive, can-do attitude and provide responsive client service. 
  • Have absolute ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion, and possess a high level of accuracy with information. 
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office applications.
