As the Manager of Marketing Excellence, this individual will serve as a subject-matter expert for biosimilars competitive intelligence, reviewing data and marketing strategies and working closely with our team to ensure we plan accordingly. Develop, lead training, and influence capability development across our organization.

The individual will be empowered to also serve as cross-functional partner and support across Marketing Leadership, Learning and Leadership Development, Human Resources, Marketing Operations, and other cross-functional departments.

Responsibilities:

Competitive Intelligence Capabilities:

  • Build and support a competitive intelligence arm within the biosimilars business unit. This would be in partnership with a competitive agency where you will be able to decipher relevant information to take into action for the brand teams. 
  • Host monthly or quarterly review meetings of CI activities with the cross-functional team. 
  • Leading a conversation and discussion that incorporates the “how does this impact our brand strategy”. 
  • Be a go to person in the team for the latest CI information. 
  • Be able to proactively understand the brand strategy or asks to go back to the CI vendor to pull the necessary information. 
  • Work with leadership when needed to put together reactive communications as necessary.

Organizational Capabilities:

  • Be a project manager for the development of courses and workshops that will be developed across commercial roles. 
  • Lead the workshops (as needed) for organizational change (i.e. competency model training). 
  • Track and measure development metrics for commercial colleagues. 
  • Sustain a shared portal with relevant training materials. 
  • Host meetings/calls with commercial colleagues for the sustainability of the learnings.

Overall:

  • Help the marketing excellence team in building a culture that encompasses a positive working environment. 
  • Represent the biosimilars team across other commercial functions during training and organizational conversations. 
  • Be proactive in bringing new ideas to the table for implementation and growth of the biosimilars organization. 
  • All employees are responsible for ensuring the compliance to company documents, programs and activities related to Health, Safety, Environment, Energy and Quality Management System as per your roles and responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. 
  • Must be strategic, collaborative, have excellent organization skills, with the ability to prioritize projects. 
  • A minimum of five (5) years commercial pharmaceutical experience with direct project management and/or capabilities development experience. 
  • Comprehensive understanding and application of pharmaceutical marketing/commercialization methods & techniques, tools and concepts. (e.g. market research, strategic planning, multichannel execution, consumer and HCP marketing, etc.) and demonstrated launch and in-line brand growth experiences. 
  • Demonstrated experience in foundational marketing processes such as segmentation, positioning, competitive readiness, Multi-Channel Marketing (MCM), etc. 
  • Experience putting together training courses and delivery preferred. 
  • Biosimilar experience preferred. 
  • Strong ability to understand the strategic implications of the information and communicate accordingly with cross-functional colleagues. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required. 
  • Experience in driving organizational change and development tools and workshops that affect long-standing growth of individuals and the organization. 
  • Ability to work independently. 
  • Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills.
