The Manager, Marketing Services will have knowledge in the areas of marketing concentrations, including, but not limited to; creative, branding, content development, digital, print, public relations, communications, and trade shows. This role will require a special emphasis on interpreting and activating the EAA’s mission and goals from program input and leadership’s direction. This will be done via sophisticated online marketing and new media strategies that create long-term growth to reach an expanding demographic.

POSITION ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Leads, and manages the EAA’s marketing services team and all supporting logistics.
  2. Routine collaborative interaction with clients including, business and donor development, government relations, flight experiences, membership marketing/services, publications, chapter, museum and youth programs and other various program groups to develop marketing programs, on deadline and within budget.
  3. Leads, manages, supports and oversees all people development for staff reporting to them
  4. Shares ownership of the Quarterly Business Review (QBR), KPI’s, budget and financials.
  5. Is a key steward for EAA’s branding efforts; working to achieve consistency of messaging, and look to infuse the EAA brand across the organization
  6. Will support trade show logistics and any new marketing program’s
  7. Is expected to immerse themselves in the association’s membership culture to understand target market
  8. Support AirVenture Oshkosh marketing and promotional efforts at a strategic and tactical level leading up to, and at AirVenture, throughout the show.
  9. Ensure marketing plans in all channels meet business objectives and key metric results
  10. Embraces and supports the EAA mission and performs safe practices in the workplace and aviation environment
  11. All other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business with an emphasis in a Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or other applicable fields 
  • Aviation background and knowledge of EAA and its activities 
  • Minimum of 10 or more years’ experience in Marketing and or related skill with a preference in the aviation industry. 
  • Ability to travel up to 10% 
  • Minimum of 5 years of managing a team, providing direction, accountability and clear vision with extensive leadership capabilities 
  • Advanced experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suites

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience successfully managing a passion oriented brand 
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple completing projects
