Position Details

Manager, Public Relations
Northern Illinois
Lisle, IL

The Public Relations Manager will join the corporate marketing team, to help drive thoughtful strategies to elevate preference and appreciation for the Molex brand. The role will play an integral role in achieving team goals by working with cross-functional internal and external stakeholders and agencies in every region of the world to plan and execute a program that delivers the right mix of content and activities. This will include planning and executing robust thought leadership program, drafting and leading review process for press announcements, blogs, awards and speakership submissions as well as helping Molex participate in relevant industry news cycles.

What You Will Do In Your Role:

  • Work with agencies to draft press releases, blogs, and other content that span multiple business units to ensure impactful, accurate representation to the media 
  • Develop strategic quarterly, annual and priority solution launch plans, engage and build consensus with extended divisional teams and executives to ensure PR deliverables drive business goals 
  • Project manage a multitude of media-related activities, using strong judgement to respond quickly yet thoughtfully to urgent PR matters 
  • Track, analyze and report on media coverage and program efficacy to inform future campaigns and plans 
  • Collaborate with an extensive team of subject matter experts (SMEs) to curate ideas and drive development of impactful PR content 
  • Collaborate with Social Media and digital teams to amplify thought leadership content and news through website and social media channels

The Experience You Will Bring


  • 4+ years of experience in Business-to-Business (B2B) public relations or corporate communications 
  • 4+ years of experience in writing B2B content 
  • Proven ability to develop, implement, and execute successful public relations campaigns for global organizations

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor’s Degree in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, business, or related field 
  • Diplomatic, confident communicator, comfortable presenting to teams and executives 
  • Experience working in corporate PR team, for technical, B2B, global company 
  • Understanding of key trends and market dynamics of industries relevant to Molex, ensuring storytelling and media outreach and submission are relevant and compelling 
  • Ability to identify and collaborate with internal and external SME’s, executives and other sources to ensure successful execution of media strategy 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage highly technical, complex, international, large-scale, time-critical projects 
  • Working knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and keyword optimization in PR content 
  • Experience effectively leveraging organic social media to amplify B2B content
