Our clients are household names that span multiple industries, including retail, healthcare, education, CPG, and hospitality.

The Manager, Video and Programmatic Media (VPM) position is an opportunity to take the next step at a fast-growing company that has the highest standards for talent, fun, and client success. The ideal candidate demonstrates phenomenal client management, inspiring team leadership, great critical thinking and a sophisticated understanding of the video, audio, and programmatic landscape. Their role will play a pivotal part in helping Ovative continue our journey toward measuring and optimizing paid media to the true enterprise impact, not solely ecommerce impacts.

Responsibilities:

Cross-functional strategy & thought leadership:

  • Act as a subject matter expert for Video, Audio, and/or Programmatic Media strategies (e.g. CTV, OLV, YouTube, streaming audio; TV/Radio a plus) by continually evolving Ovative’s approach to best practices, vetting and partnering with new technology companies, managing planning and execution tools, and staying on top of emerging trends
  • Develop and drive forward holistic cross-platform video and media strategies and roadmaps aligned with client program growth goals
  • Understand and find synergies with other paid media channels within the client mix in partnership across activate teams

Media management & execution:

Lead day-to-day management, execution, and optimization of client video and audio programs including:

  • Campaign planning, strategy and plan documentation
  • Campaign tactics, audience build-out and optimization 
  • DSP Algorithmic and manual bidding strategy and optimization
  • Test ideation, planning, and management
  • Analysis, reporting and insights
  • Creative management and trafficking execution
  • Inventory management
  • Strategic partner management
  • Ad Verification Tool strategy and analytics

Client relationship management:

Lead day-to-day management of client video, audio, and programmatic programs including:

  • Clearly defining program objectives, tactics and KPIs
  • Developing and delivering client communication
  • Build strategies for clients and lead tactical planning and execution

Effectively manage & grow client relationship and establish trust and credibility

Effectively influence client stakeholders to evolve strategies and measurement approach to drive enterprise impact through VPM channels

Team leadership and employee development:

  • Manage work independently with initial direction from leadership
  • Regularly speak up, ask questions, and express your POV
  • Recruit, train and manage new Ovative team members
  • Foster a culture of open communication and 360-degree feedback
  • Inspire your team and direct reports to reach their quarterly, annual, and long-term goals

Requirements:

5+ years of experience directly responsible for enterprise-level Video/Audio Advertising or related programs with digital video expertise across YouTube, online video, and/or CTV

At least 1+ year of experience managing direct reports

Great communication and extensive client management experience (internal or external)

Proven track record of success driving strong positive results through video, audio, and/or programmatic channels

Proven mastery of the following:

  • Performance based, direct response, or upper funnel marketing programs
  • Programmatic Trading via self-service DSPs (The Trade Desk, DV360, or others)
  • Execution with ad serving tools and technology (The Trade Desk, Google Ads, DCM etc.)
  • Ad Verification Tool usage (DoubleVerify, MOAT, IAS, etc.)
  • External partner management

Sound conceptual and analytical problem-solvingskills

Exceptional attention to detail

Preferred:

  • Strong digital video/audio experience 
  • Previous experience in performance marketing, retail, eCommerce, etc. 
  • Experience planning/buying TV/Radio a nice to have
