Under the direction and supervision of the Director – Marketing, the Market Analytics Manager – Power Systems is responsible for executing the marketing analytics strategy to improve data storage and utilization, build market forecasting models, and develop the tools & processes that are necessary for a data-driven marketing organization. In addition, the Manager plays an important role in leading key elements of the overall marketing strategy – including channel, advertising and product strategy. This role has no direct reports.

An ideal candidate is well versed in marketing, business analytics, and strategy.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Impact business results using knowledge of analytical methods, leveraging business experience, and demonstrated ability to transform complex analyses into a simple, yet compelling story. 
  • Drive analytics projects and experiments from end to end. Translate a business question into an analytical framework, generate insights through analysis and effectively communicate recommended actions. 
  • Use data and analysis skills to support marketing needs with reporting, KPI definition, performance measurement, and insights. Achieve scale by establishing best practices, automating processes and identifying structural needs. 
  • Create, support and maintain territory size/share and opportunity models to aid the sales and marketing organizations with the implementation tracking of marketing programs and advertising campaigns. 
  • Collaborate with partners across the organization to develop the appropriate infrastructure (people, process, data, technology) to support the reporting and analytics process. 
  • Support leadership on projects related to channel marketing, product development, pricing, and market research.

Skills/Requirements:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree. Course work in Marketing, Economics, Finance, Business Administration/Management and Accounting. 
  • Prefer an MBA or Master of Science degree in Applied Economics, Business Analytics, Statistics or related field. 
  • Must possess a keen analytical mind, strong on planning, detail and accuracy, while demonstrating creativity and idea-orientation. 
  • Experience with analytical and visualization tools, such as PowerBI, Alteryx and Tableau preferred. 
  • Experience in forecasting and market research techniques: Statistical Analysis, Time-series modelling and forecasting, Regression, Clustering and other techniques required. 
  • Experience in one or more modeling platforms/languages, such as R, Python preferred. 
  • Requires strong written and oral communicative skills. 
  • Requires 4+ years of related experience. 
  • Demonstrates high proficiency with standard business and database software (Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint). 
  • Ability to travel under 10% as needed.
