Position Details

Market Research Analyst
Twin Cities Metro
Oakdale, MN

Responsible for performing research and providing insights regarding the market, trends, competitors, potential and existing customers, and current campaigns.


  • Create databases and capture market data. 
  • Collecting business intelligence data from industry reports or purchased sources to delimit trends and to measure the impact of competitors’ marketing activities
  • Identify new market opportunities. 
  • Perform extensive market research. 
  • Evaluate market penetration. 
  • Analyze marketing metrics to identify cause and effect relationships. 
  • Identify positive financial outcomes to increase profitability. 
  • Analyze competitors. 
  • Evaluate demographics, prices, distribution channels, and marketing outlets. 
  • Conduct secondary research, including finding information from industry associations, statisticians and marketing experts. 
  • Generate reports that analyze competition and customers
  • Reporting on marketing KPIs like leads, conversion rates, website traffic and social media engagement 
  • Offer insights about product potentials. 
  • Be familiar with advanced statistical analysis and research methodologies, along with common computer programs 
  • Build accurate regional forecast on current products portfolio 
  • Support adopted Company Market Model data updates 
  • Submit quarterly measured data 
  • Analyze and distribute results on market share performance at quarterly basis based on official total market results 
  • Key reference point for Central Sales and Marketing and Regional teams for any Business research expenditure

Required Skills & Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. 
  • Must have a 2+ years’ experience as a Marketing Research Analyst. 
  • Proven experience market data modeling. 
  • Expert level MS Excel skills. 
  • Ability to create and give presentations using PowerPoint 
  • Proven usage of Business Intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau) 
  • Capable of working with global cross-functional and local teams.

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of SAP 
  • Experience in multinational environment
