Job Duties:

Lead the North American Market Research and Consumer Insights Function at Kerry. Develop and drive the Primary Research function for North America and influence Global research projects. Leverage understanding of the consumer, research methodologies/techniques, best practices, and experience to drive the business forward for growth. Work independently with limited oversight. Influence at all levels of organization and work seamlessly with cross-functional teams. Drive to making actionable business strategy recommendations rooted in deep understanding of the market, business, and consumer. Leverage a broad range of traditional and emerging qualitative and quantitative research techniques and methodologies. Drive balanced and data driven insights and recommend most appropriate actions. Lead a team to mine multiple data sources and systems to identify insights and performance metrics that are the key drivers of commercial success. Set regional direction on market data and analytics best practices, insight generation, and reporting optimization. Develop and successfully deploy pragmatic tools and approaches to building big data, market data, and analytics capabilities and execution within the marketing function and within the Business. Lead and develop the Market Research Consumer Insights team to provide high impact, data drive reports, trends, and tactics that will drive business results. Identify consumer and market trends/insights and work across functions to advise in the development of new technologies that fit into the portfolio. Lead the gathering of market trends and consumer insights from diverse primary and secondary research studies to develop short/long term strategies that tell a compelling story. Design, manage, and present findings on a broad range of quantitative and qualitative research, including recommending methods, questionnaire design, data analysis, and most importantly story development to support large scale strategic initiatives. Develop Market Research and Consumer Insights talent.

10-15% travel will be required. Supervises 3 (three) subordinate employees.


The position of Market Research and Consumer Insight Director requires a Bachelor’s degree, or its foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, in Business, Marketing, Market Research, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in a related occupation.

Additionally, the applicant must have experience with:

1. Quantitative and Qualitative experience in conducting and leading Market Research and Consumer Insights across multiple product categories, brands, and business strategies;

2. Designing and conducting advanced consumer segmentation, demographic research, concept testing, attitudes and usage, and consumer behavior primary research studies;

3. Utilizing SPSS, JMP, XLStat, and Excel to analyze and model point of sale and other data including Nielsen, Euromonitor, Mintel, and NPD;

4. Advanced analytics and data modelling;

5. Industry leader in market and consumer research publishing research papers and articles;

6. Strategic marketing experience in Food and Beverage or a relevant industry, and the retail and food service landscape; and

7. Global research experience working across regions and experience in market and consumer research.
