Sortis Digital Marketing, a boutique digital marketing agency located in Madison, Wisconsin, is seeking a Marketing Account Executive. This position is responsible for managing the entire business development cycle, from securing a robust and profitable book of business, to ensuring the account management team successfully implements the tactics, to monitoring the effectiveness of the strategy.

This multi-faceted position is responsible for success in three major areas:

Client Acquisition:

  • Identify and research qualified national prospects, then establish and cultivate relationships with them to advance them through the sales funnel
  • Coordinate inbound marketing efforts to attract leads, including email marketing, social media, newsletters, and ad campaigns
  • Respond to incoming website and phone leads
  • Create and present digital strategies and sales proposals
  • Promote and encourage additional opportunities with existing clients
  • Acquire referrals from existing clients and partners
  • Utilize a CRM tool to track and manage all prospects and leads
  • Regularly communicate status of pipeline with agency Principals
  • Meet agreed-upon quarterly & yearly goals and sales quotas

Team Collaboration:

  • Facilitate the new client onboarding process
  • Create project schedules and timelines
  • Work closely with the account team to ensure successful implementation of strategy and tactics
  • Attend regular team meetings to stay updated on accounts

Account Management:

  • Manage client expectations
  • Function as a trusted advisor to the client
  • Follow progress to ensure the strategy achieves the client’s business goals
  • Regularly communicate project status to the client
  • Ensure client satisfaction and retention

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or Business Administration
  • Must be an experienced sales professional with a marketing background
  • Prefer 5+ years of business development experience with a marketing agency, or in a similar role
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals with national accounts
  • Must have a strong background and understanding of digital marketing tactics and principles
  • Basic understanding of website design principles is a plus
  • Must exude professionalism & possess outstanding communicative and social skills
  • Respond well to a motivation-based compensation plan that includes base salary, commissions, and performance-based bonuses
  • Enjoy leadership, teamwork, and collaboration
  • Must be a go-getter with a positive attitude
  • Experience with Google G Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
