Marketing Analyst - Campaign Operations

We are looking for Marketing Analyst – Campaign Operations to join our Marketing team at Fingerhut, a market-leading FinTech. Customers are important to Bluestem, so identifying the right customers to target is equally important. The Campaign Operations team supports many of Bluestem’s brands by providing mailing/campaign lists for all Marketing communications with our customers (e.g., catalogs, letters, emails, SMS, etc.). As an analyst on this team, you will write code to extract data that is used to make campaign decisions (which customer to contact for which types of communications), audit the results, export files for the printer/end user, and manage customer-campaign data.

The role will be based out of our Eden Prairie, MN head office within our hybrid environment that has team members come into the office once or twice a week.


  • Meet with internal clients to define criteria for identifying customers eligible for a particular campaign 
  • Write code (SQL and/or SAS) to extract customer data from the data warehouse 
  • Audit/validate the results and report inconsistencies 
  • Segment the customers based on previous behavior 
  • Execute campaign tests (e.g., random a/b selection for cover design tests, etc.) 
  • Manage customer-campaign data 
  • Support new products, communication methods, brands, etc. 
  • Build expertise by understanding the data, business, and processes 
  • Perform continuous process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency 
  • Conduct analyses on customers and campaigns to support business decisions


  • 2+ years of relevant work experience or a degree in analytics/database marketing 
  • Ability to code using SQL/SAS languages or other programming language 
  • Experience with campaigns preferred 
  • Problem-solving/troubleshooting capabilities 
  • Maintain focus and accuracy under tight deadlines 
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills
