We are currently seeking a Marketing and Communications Associate to join our team. This full-time role will primarily work on-site (days).

Purpose of this position:

The Marketing and Communications Associate is responsible for supporting both the marketing and internal communications teams in the implementation and execution of marketing communications strategies and tactics. These will include consumer campaigns, physician referral campaigns, events, and general internal and external communication activities, including collateral copywriting, newsletter/blog writing, digital marketing, social media, and advertising promotion. Additionally, this job will entail the application of technical expertise and independent judgment to the preparation of specialized communications, the use of communications technology, public service contact, and administrative support for the department. The position reports to Communications, with a dotted line to Marketing in the Marketing and Communications Department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support the marketing discipline in service line leadership teams in the marketing and communications department

Develop copy, graphics, video content, and Reels for social media posts and campaigns

  • Monitor campaigns’ progress and results
  • Gather data to help inform and improve future campaigns
  • Partner with graphic designers to develop compelling and appropriate visuals
  • Report back to the team via presentations

Create, schedule, and post content on social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn, and continuously monitor engagements and comments

Monitor and update content on hennepinhealthcare.org

Help conduct market/marketing research

Plan, write, edit, proofread, and publish the internal e-newsletter

Write, create, and post content on the external blog and employee news site

Serve as a communications resource to departments, teams, and staff

Take photos and videos as needed for the department and social media content

Create, edit, copy edit, and publish marketing and communications materials.

Ensure that messages are supportive of and consistent with department standards and marketing strategies

Respond to a broad range of requests for information from the public and other team members representing different levels of the organization

Support communications planning and execution for annual/evergreen topics

Partner with the Community Events Manager to provide support and the execution of community and hospital events and maintain inventories of materials and event items

Work successfully with communications technologies including mass email platforms, publishing software, digital signage, inventory management systems, and other technology required to support the department and disseminate information

Provide administrative support for the Marketing & Communications Department

  • Prepare, file, retrieve, and maintain records and documents from departmental filing systems; develop forms and/or assist with revision; oversee and manage supplies and inventory
  • Assists with the creation of job requisitions and purchase orders
  • Schedules and manages recurring department meetings
  • Support activities as needed to ensure successful functionality of the department

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Four-year degree in a related field

  • Two-year degree in a related field with 2-3 years of related experience

  • An approved equivalent combination of education and experience

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:

  • Writing, planning, social media skills, comfort with technology, including Microsoft Suite (Teams, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint), strong people skills, and strong organization skills
