In this role, you will provide marketing and communications leadership for a portfolio of services, including planning, initiating, managing and implementing all communications and marketing activities designed to support the achievement of each service’s annual goals. This position will use a racial equity and social justice lens in all aspects of their work, in partnership with the services they support, members of the marketing & communications team and other LSS colleagues.

This new position joins an established team of marketing managers, PR and digital marketing experts, and talented writers and designers to support and promote LSS services across the entire state of Minnesota.

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS in marketing, communications or related field. 
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience in communications and marketing for a mid- to large-size organization. 
  • Demonstrated project management acumen required. 
  • Demonstrated capacity for developing strategic communications plans aligned with core business and organizational positioning objectives. 
  • Strong communications skills that are effectively applied to an audience, channel and objectives. 
  • Team-building, leadership and strong collaboration skills required. 
  • Must be able to draw on problem-solving and capacity-building skills to facilitate agreements-based outcomes with diverse constituents. 
  • Able to work in a busy environment of unpredictable, fluctuating priorities and frequent interruptions. 
  • Commitment to the mission and vision of LSS, including LSS’ Anti-Racism Stand. 
  • Experience in the areas of services for people with disabilities, older adults, youth experiencing homelessness and/or children/families is a plus. 
  • Excellent writing skills are a must.

The successful candidate must be cleared by a Bureau of Criminal Affairs (BCA) background study and have a drivers’ license; a Motor Vehicle Check (MVR) is required.
