This position provides leadership, implementation and planning for campaigns, programs and events in collaboration with departments across the organization. The Marketing and Communications Manager collaborates with the Director of Marketing to develop and implement campaigns aligned with The Arc Minnesota’s strategic plan. Serves as project manager and content developer for graphic design pieces, email, website, social media, print materials and is the primary liaison for assigned organizational events.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Leads the digital editorial planning process, developing and applying content across all properties in collaboration with team members. 
  • Examines and reports on social media and digital analytics to drive results and evolve our digital presence. 
  • Leads continuous improvement and innovation process, including personal development to support new capabilities. 
  • Designs and produces organization’s mission-focused events, in collaboration with team members with assigned event responsibilities, including the Annual Arc Gala, Annual Board and Membership Meeting, Arc in the Park Picnic, Community Engagement Events. 
  • Works with staff to identify event goals and objectives and identify volunteer needs for event support.
Requirements: 
  • A Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing or a degree with demonstrated experience required. 
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience required. 
  • Experience with Sprout social and graphic design is preferred. 
  • Wordpress or similar website content management experience is preferred. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Demonstrated copy writing for Development related work, editing, and digital marketing knowledge required. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in planning and implementing events and promotions. 
  • Ability to build business relationships with vendors. 
  • Interest in supervising and working with interns and volunteers required. 
  • Candidates must be willing to flex hours and workdays to accommodate special events and projects.

Compensation:
