Within a highly collaborative team environment, this role serves as the project manager overseeing creative services and production of projects. Also serves as a point of contact for campus partners’ project requests, vendor scheduling and day-of management. Collaboration and exceptional attention to detail are essential for success in this role.

Essential Functions:

  • Primary project manager; coordinates marketing projects and keeps the office’s task management system updated, including day-to-day production functions. 
  • Develops and oversees project process workflow by scheduling project kickoff and status meetings, setting internal deadlines, and keeping project schedules up to date. 
  • Manages and maintains vendor relationships and workflows. 
  • Serves as lead project manager on University’s institutional magazine, Prospect. 
  • Oversees timeline, vendor management, content ideas, meeting cadence, etc. 
  • Assists team members with reviewing, editing and proofing and ensures brand-alignment of projects. 
  • Supports University events through the coordination, production and proofing of event-related marketing materials. 
  • Serves on various committees as marketing department representative for large campus events such as Homecoming, Commencement, Presidents’ Ball, logistics, etc. 
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to continuous improvement. 
  • Supports mission, vision and values.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or a related field. 
  • Strong project management, organizational and interpersonal skills, along with a demonstrated attention to detail. 
  • Capacity for managing a robust workload and balancing a wide variety of tasks while hitting established project deadlines. 
  • Technologically proficient, especially in word processing, email, and other communication tools. 
  • Proficiency in communication and relationship building via in-person meetings, and through the telephone and electronic media with a wide range of on- and off-campus constituents, especially the University’s agency partners. 
  • Ability to work both independently and as a contributing team member. 
  • Interest in maintaining high standards and improving personal skills and abilities. 
  • A demonstrated passion for working in a creative environment. 
  • Three-plus years of digital marketing experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Five-plus years of digital marketing experience. 
  • Prior use of CRM platforms (especially Slate). 
  • Agency or higher education background a plus.
