Wisconsin FFA Foundation

The Wisconsin FFA Foundation builds resources through the development of partnerships which support the Wisconsin FFA mission of premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education. There are three staff positions that coordinate all fund development efforts (corporate and individual sponsorships, direct mail solicitations, golf outings, state convention activities),outgoing communication (website, newsletters, email, social media, face-to-face meetings), manage the board and committees, enter and track data, and maintain the finances. The successful candidate will report directly to the Executive Director of the Foundation. They must be self-driven and embrace the overall vision and strategic plan of the Foundation. Competencies needed include the following:

Duties:

  1. Development-Focused Marketing – Coordinate marketing and communications strategies to support Foundation development efforts with staff and board members. Projects include annual giving initiatives (mail and digital appeals), stewardship communications (newsletters, annual report), event promotional materials (state convention activities, golf outings), as well as overall brand management and external marketing efforts (website, flyers).
  2. Content Development – Prepare and write grant requests, annual appeal letters and any other direct marketing or digital tactics
  3. Project Management – Work with Executive Director and board committees to advance projects outlined in the strategic plan that will drive growth and achievement for the organization. 
  4. Event Coordination – Work with Executive Director to plan and execute fundraising events, included but not limited to golf outings, convention expo, silent auctions or other activities where the mission of the Foundation can be promoted and donations can be solicited. 
  5. Foundation Representation – Attend Board of Directors meetings, State FFA Convention or other industry events as needed within scope of part-time, non-exempt position.

Required Technical Skills/Experience:

  • 2-3 years professional work experience 
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop) 
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) 
  • Strong communications and marketing background 
  • Strong understanding of social media 
  • Eye for design and creative mindset

Preferred Technical Skills/Experience:

  • FFA background and knowledge 
  • Project management experience 
  • Fundraising and/or sales background
