As demand for our services continues to rise, we are looking for an individual to join ABCD as a Marketing and Development Specialist. You will be responsible for developing and executing external and internal communications initiatives and supporting ABCD’s fundraising efforts. This will include production and management of ABCD’s website, social media presence, and ABCD collateral as well as donor communication and donation tracking. You will be responsible for digital, traditional advertising and public relations as needed and will manage ABCD’s relationships with external creative and advertising partners. Your primary stakeholders will be peers within ABCD.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Messaging and Branding

  • Oversee, develop, and implement timely online and print integrated marketing and communications to key audiences including Mentors, Participants, donors, healthcare professionals, and public
  • Steward ABCD’s brand and ensure consistent messaging across multiple print and online platforms
  • Serve as point person for ABCD’s external designers

Content creation, Website, Social media, Materials

  • Lead production and management of all collateral program services materials (for example: brochure, bookmarks, giveaways)
  • Write and develop collateral for partnership engagements and fundraising efforts (for example: annual report, one-pager about ABCD, PowerPoint presentations, etc)
  • Update ABCD’s website content, information, and calendar
  • Produce and distribute email marketing programs
  • Develop and implement an online content calendar, to plan timely communications and campaigns that integrate with specific fundraising, partnership or event initiatives and organizational outreach strategy
  • Write high-quality social media content and serve as primary editor and moderator of all social media channels (for example: Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Constant Contact/E-newsletter, Mobile, and emerging platforms)
  • Author monthly Stories of Impact by interview Mentors, Participants and donors 
  • Leverage all marketing opportunities at ABCD-hosted and/or ABCD-invited events

Digital and Traditional Advertising

  • Manage and execute on time delivery of advertising efforts
  • Oversee relationship with advertising vendors Leverage paid social media opportunities

Public Relations/External communications

  • Support public relations opportunities and relationships with media
  • Represent ABCD at events in SE WI and online

Development support

  • Track donations in ABCD’s donor management system (Salesforce), make weekly deposits, and oversee donor thank you note process
  • Manage credit card expenses and communications with external accountants
  • Assist in fundraising efforts as needed
  • At least 2 years of communications and marketing experience with an emphasis on social media, content development and writing 
  • Ability to direct designers and other creative services 
  • Experience working in complex information tracking system and/or a CRM database or similar system preferred, Salesforce preferred 
  • Metrics-driven, goal-oriented approach to work 
  • Willing to be flexible as organization’s needs evolve 
  • Experience and success working on a predominantly virtual team 
  • Passionate about and ability to stay current on breast cancer trends and research as well as health and wellness issues 
  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or comparable experience 
  • Ability to lift and move packages up to 25 lbs. as needed

Salary range is $35,000-$50,000 with robust benefits (Health Insurance, Dental Coverage, Vision Coverage. Employer-Paid Life & AD&D, and Short-Term Disability and Long-Term Disability)
