Liturgy Training Publications is seeking a Marketing and Sales Manager to plan and supervise all activities related to generating sales, including direct mail, promotion, publicity, online marketing, and special projects, as well as customer service and order entry. This position will participate in core decision-making as a member of the management and Editorial teams, representing the needs and concerns of the Marketing and Sales departments.

The successful candidate will enjoy working with people and have the ability to analyze information to develop the overall marketing plan for the organization. As the leader of the marketing and sales departments, the role will coordinate with the marketing and sales staff to implement the plan, making adjustments as needed. The position requires someone with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects, while providing consistent follow up and follow through.

Experience Required:

Candidates must have a minimum five years’ experience in marketing, preferably in the publishing or related book industry. A college degree in communications, business and/or marketing; Master’s degree is a plus. Experience in supervising sales and support staff in a growth-oriented manner. Must have a valid driver’s license.

Additional Requirements:

Demonstrated knowledge of marketing principles and strategies to achieve overall organizational goals. Knowledge of marketing capabilities and best practices of social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. Ability to manage multiple projects to oversee their timely completion. Familiarity in creating and monitoring revenue and expense budgets. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, (particularly Excel); Adobe Creative Suite, (InDesign and InCopy); and HTML and XML. Strong writing, organizational and interpersonal skills with a willingness to travel as a representative of the organization. Understanding of the Catholic market with a respect and support for the Catholic Church teaching, mission and values. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
