The Walworth County Visitors Bureau is a non-profit, 501(c) 6 organization, located at 2375 East Geneva Street in Delavan, Wisconsin. With approximately 300 members and growing, the Walworth County Visitors Bureau is the official destination marketing organization for Walworth County, and its purpose is to market Walworth County as the destination of choice for group and leisure travel, thereby increasing the economic impact of tourism. The Walworth County Visitors Bureau is a Certified Destination Marketing Organization, as declared by the Wisconsin Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus. The Bureau's Travel Information Center is open seven days a week from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Full-time position, under the direct supervision of the Executive Director. This position will develop and oversee all marketing and sales efforts of the Walworth County Visitors Bureau, in an effort to increase visitor traffic to the county.

The Marketing & Sales Manager is responsible for all aspects of marketing for the WCVB, including social media, public relations, press release writing & distribution, marketing materials & graphics design, and website updates. You will attend area events and industry conferences and be the digital voice of the WCVB. A large majority of this position involves writing (press releases, blog posts, and social media posts). The position provides assistance to the Executive Director with all segments of the WCVB’s communications and public relations efforts. You will be responsible for developing and implementing new marketing initiatives, campaigns, and the annual marketing plan. The Marketing & Sales Manager will also work closely with the sales staff to promote group sales in Walworth County.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, or closely related field. Whether you are a new college graduate or have years of experience, we need an individual that has a strong work ethic, an eye for detail, familiarity with social media trends, and a fun personality. The candidate must have a proficiency in written and verbal communication skills, including an exceptional understanding of grammar, usage, and vocabulary. The position requires strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite. This position will manage the creation of all marketing collateral and sales support tools. The position will be accountable for measuring and reporting on campaign results. The position will be responsible for maintaining a knowledge of marketing trends, developments, and best practices. Effective time management, organization, and leadership skills are a necessity for this position. Every employee of the WCVB needs to be a team player and willing to help out wherever needed. A knack for customer service and fun is key!
