Hupy and Abraham,S.C., a personal injury law firm headquartered downtown Milwaukee, WI, is seeking a Marketing Assistant with experience in community outreach and public relations.

The Marketing Assistant will build and maintain relationships with individuals and community organizations. This employee will implement community outreach programs, organize events, coordinate staffing and write and release publicity material such as media alerts, press releases and articles that will promote the organization's mission.

This is a fast-paced law firm located in downtown Milwaukee. The position will be highly demanding so do not apply unless you are a hard-working go-getter who is willing to dig deep, and make a difference on our team!

Responsibilities:

Community Relations 

  • Fielding donation requests 
  • Researching sponsorship requests 
  • Investigating and scheduling community events 
  • Cultivating relationships within the community 

Public Relations

  • Creating media alerts 
  • Writing press releases 
  • Developing public relations strategies 
  • Cultivating media relations 

Award Applications

  • Researching and developing target list 
  • Completing and submitting applications 

Web Content

  • Management of the “Press Room” 
  • Content posts 

Performing administrative duties and other projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, corporate communications, journalism, marketing or related field. 
  • Prior marketing or administrative experience required. 
  • Ability to multi-task 
  • Excellent writing skills with extreme attention to grammatical detail 
  • Organizational skills with working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets 
  • Presentation and negotiation skills 
  • Sound understanding of marketing principles. 
  • Flexibility in schedule may be required due to evening and weekend events
