Primary Responsibilities:

Seeking a marketing assistant with strong administrative skills and interest in learning about marketing, public relations, advertising, event planning and business development. Will support the efforts of the three (3) marketing coordinators, (1) business development director and (1) vice president through the following activities:

  • Administrative support for marketing department
  • Assist in preparation of proposals and prequalifications
  • Coordinate and plan special events and tradeshows
  • Assist with updating web site, blog, social media, etc.
  • Assist with research of markets and potential opportunities
  • Update and maintain Marketing Database
  • Maintain marketing files (resumes, boilerplate information, project information, photographs, etc.)
  • Copywriting for awards, blog, etc.
  • Proofing of marketing materials

Qualifications Desired:

  • Proficiency of all applicable computer software programs is preferred, including: desktop publishing, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.) and preferred experience in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop). 
  • Ideal candidate is organized, detail oriented, able to multi-task, has excellent time management skills and works well under pressure and/or deadlines 
  • Basic understanding of A/E/C industry terminology and procedures 
  • Understanding of basic marketing principles 
  • Bachelors degree preferred in a related major (Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising, Communications, Business). Without a degree, three to five years of relevant A/E/C experience.
