This position will work closely with the internal marketing, sales, and professional services teams; as well as representatives of the many distributors and manufacturers ANIMART represents. Under the direction of the Marketing Manager, this person will have the opportunity to increase contributions to our organization through product promotion and strategic market planning.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop and execute marketing plans for product categories to achieve marketing objectives, grow sales, and monitor and measure plan progress
• Assist with public relations activities including press releases (print and online articles), industry trade show presence, and sponsorships
• Assist in improving website communications and sales by continuous updates of website content; e-mail marketing campaigns, and promotional tactics
• Writing articles for flyers and website publication
• Play a central role in social marketing, keeping social media and website up-to-date and engaging.
• Assist in ongoing development and changes in the ANIMART catalog and E-Commerce site
• Assist in coordinating customer meetings and internal marketing meetings
• Create campaign sales promotional materials: flyers, direct mail pieces, brochures, newspaper ads, newsletters, and catalog and support materials
• Associate company marketing projects as assigned
• Contribute to building a quality work environment at ANIMART by taking initiative, respecting others, and being a team player. Following the policies and procedures in the ANIMART handbook. Using good communication by listening and sharing information to enable others to do their jobs more effectively. Exceed Expectations.

Qualifications:

• 4-year degree in agri-marketing and/or marketing communications experience (Animal health and agriculture experience both a plus) and/or a college degree in marketing/communications or related field
• Working knowledge, understanding and interest in livestock production-based agriculture
• Passion for writing with an understanding of animal agriculture – can write in “producer talk” to educate others
• Website and reporting skills/software knowledge
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer skills in areas of word processing, data management, graphic design and print preparation including proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator programs
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
• Positive attitude and approach, self-motivation, attention to detail, and professionalism

This is a full time position offering a competitive salary and full benefit package

Hours of Work: M-F, 8-5 Occasional weekend, weeknights as needed.
