The Marketing Communications Coordinator - Digital Activations is the voice behind the Johnsonville and Gilbert’s brand-owned digital channels. You will be involved in all aspects of planning, posting, and moderating content across a variety of social and digital platforms. Through daily engagement and collaboration with key stakeholders, you are the community manager, building authentic relationships among our external audiences – including our social communities, brand ambassadors and biggest fans.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and execute social marketing campaigns across owned social media channels including Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook and Pinterest 
  • Interact and build brand trust with Johnsonville and Gilbert’s consumers (existing & new) as daily community management lead 
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Communications Manager - Digital Activations to develop annual content plans and campaigns based on insights pertaining to what our audience wants, expects and needs from Johnsonville and Gilbert’s 
  • Share our brand’s personalities through storytelling in ad copy and proactive and reactive conversations 
  • Collaborate on brand ambassador program, content planning and maintaining relationships. 
  • Assist in content development and management of owned websites and content syndication to customer E-Commerce webpages 
  • Utilize social listening tools and data to seek out relevant emerging trends that we can turn into earned media opportunities 
  • Share relevant industry and community insights with the Marketing Communications Team.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, advertising, public relations, media studies, business, and/or related fields required

Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years community management experience with an agency or brand with knowledge of major social media platforms & trends required 
  • Experience executing content, campaigns, and community managing on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Pinterest 
  • Previous experience with CPG brand or client is a plus

Skills & Competencies:

  • A creative mind that can support and contribute to ideation, especially as it relates to social media culture/discourse. 
  • Ability to infuse humor strategically in our brand voice and writing 
  • Organized, articulate, and collaborative self-starter with the ability to easily communicate with internal stakeholders, agency partners, and our online community of sausage enthusiasts in a hybrid work environment 
  • Ability to execute tactical plans that build and nurture ambassadors of a community 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Creative skills in video and graphics or applicable experience with apps and tools to make our content shine is an even bigger plus 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
