Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for a team-oriented individual to fill the role of Marketing Communications Coordinator at our headquarters in Sterling, Illinois.

As a member of our North America Professional Animal team, the Marketing Communications Coordinator is responsible for managing tradeshows, developing and producing ads, content, and news releases to define the corporate identity, and effectively representing and gaining interest in the company's products and services to customers and prospects.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Leads Elite Team, ambassadors, and bloggers for Professional Animal Division. 
  • Coordinates all activities of trade shows and sponsorships, including pre and post duties. 
  • Attends events as needed and/or coordinates team member's in attendance. 
  • Strategizes, manages, and coordinates the Wahl Professional Animal social sites, blogs, and websites to include (but not limited to) email or newsletter content, calendars, postings, and ads. 
  • Manages the competitive pay of the Elite Team as well as any contracts, NDAs, budgets including those for tradeshows, events, social, advertisements and PR. 
  • Works as a vital team member in the creation & execution of the Professional Animal PR plan. 
  • Portrays company brand in press releases, social media, and catalogs via consistent content.
  • Assists in the execution of media advertising, business plans, and product promotions. 
  • Effectively communicates product information, initiatives, and on-goings to Sales Managers and Sales Representatives. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Communications and Marketing. 
  • Two or more (2+) years of experience in marketing or media. 
  • Experience with desktop publishing software and content creation. 
  • Excellent written communication skills. 
  • Ability to work independently using time management skills to handle a variety of duties. 
  • Ability to work under deadline pressure and extra hours if needed. 
  • Ability to model the Company's values of respect for people, teamwork and continuous improvement.
