Are you a creative and versatile writer with a passion for marketing and brand storytelling? If so, we have a great opportunity for you at pc/nametag as a Marketing Communications Intern.

In this role, you will join a fun, talented, and collaborative team of marketers as you explore your interests in communications. You’ll help us create content while we help you gain experience to enhance our professional portfolio.

What You’ll Do:

  • The Marketing Communications Intern is responsible for assisting with various strategic responsibilities relating to pc/nametag’s content marketing presence. This includes but is not limited to blog creation and maintenance, social media management, email marketing, and more.

Your Day as a Marketing Communications Intern:

  • Provide support with creating, editing, and distributing communications materials including blog posts, email newsletters, social media posts, and other supporting educational content for the events industry
  • Optimize existing blogs and other marketing materials for re-distribution to our audiences
  • Assist with developing an editorial calendar that aligns with current marketing campaigns
  • Draft social media posts that support our mission to educate, entertain, and connect
  • Research industry trends relating to meetings, events, and conference planning
  • Interact with industry thought leaders and identify opportunities to collaborate on educational content
  • Create beginner-level graphic designs in Canva to be used in blog posts, email newsletters, and on social media
  • Analyze and report on content marketing campaigns and metrics using HubSpot dashboards
  • Work closely with the Marketing Communications Specialist and other members of the marketing team on a variety of additional tasks

Your Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and grammar
  • A creative mindset and the ability to generate innovative content marketing ideas
  • Skilled in creative writing, storytelling, and crafting messages for different audiences
  • Strong ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple responsibilities

Position Requirements:

  • Must be currently located in the Madison area or able to commute to our office in Verona, Wisconsin
  • Must be a current undergraduate student working toward a degree in marketing, public relations, communications, English, or related field
  • Must be able to work during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8 am – 5 pm)
  • Must be able to work 15-20 hours per week during the school year and up to 32 hours per week during the summer; candidates with summer availability are preferred
  • Must be comfortable working in a hybrid environment, being productive both in the office and at home

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of AP Style writing
  • Basic knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO)
  • Experience using basic graphic design programs such as Canva or Adobe Express
  • Able to continue internship into the fall semester with 15-20 hours per week
  • Earn $18 per hour
