The Marketing Communications Manager will provide implementation and coordination of marketing, media relations, social media and brand compliance that effectively describe and promote the Alzheimer’s Association Wisconsin Chapter. The Marketing Communications Manager will work closely with the Marketing Communications Director to monitor the marketing communications plan and maintain alignment with the Association’s strategic plan.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with media relations for Association, build and maintain media relationships, coordinate media interviews and pitch stories
  • Develop and maintain current listing of media contacts throughout the state 
  • Develop, write, and edit communications materials including press releases, media advisories, feature stories, flyers, brochures, E-news articles, op-eds, letters to the editor, and website content 
  • Design, develop and implement communications and public relations to build awareness of the organization’s mission, programs and achievements across the Chapter territory 
  • Write and contribute content for chapter social networking sites (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn) 
  • Create graphics for use on social media, design flyers, programs and other external communications pieces Manage marketing and planning of events around Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month and National Family Caregiver Month 
  • Elevate chapter’s Public Policy initiatives by collaborating on communications and collateral for State Advocacy Day and other Public Policy initiatives 
  • Manage and track paid and donated media impressions, and monitor social media analytics 
  • Manage determined projects with volunteers 
  • Participate in all-staff, team, and other internal meetings as requested 
  • Attend chapter events and outside networking opportunities in the community that raise awareness 
  • Other duties as assigned 
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing/communications or public relations 
  • 3-5 years of experience in public relations, communications & marketing Proven success in building and maintaining key relationships and meeting strategic goals 
  • Strong organizational and project management skills 
  • Excellent written and presentation skills; enjoys public speaking 
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
