General Summary:

The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for leading traditional and digital marketing communications for the Valent and Innovent brands. Working closely with key stakeholders such as business unit leaders, product management and sales teams, create deliverables that achieve business goals, drive sales and elevate the brands. Collaborate with internal and external resources to create and deliver marketing collateral across the full range of established and emerging communication mediums.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collaboratively develop annual marketing plan that meets the growth objectives of the business unit(s) and brand(s). 
  • Create marketing programs that educate and promote product and applications expertise to reps and customerin support of business goals. 
  • Responsible for the logistics and planning of events including sales/technical training sessions, national sales meetings, Rep Council meetings and other corporate and regional events. 
  • Identify, update and/or create content for printed or digital media that will continually improve communication to reps and customers. 
  • Coordinate the development and preparation of specific marketing and sales literature pieces through interaction with marketing, sales, and engineering personnel in alignment with business goals. 
  • Identify topics and develop pertinent content to be used in newsletters, web sites, webinars, and videos. 
  • Regularly report on effectiveness of marketing tools and programs to demonstrate results and returns for continuous improvement in efficiency of the paid marketing spend. 
  • Create electronic presentations using Power Point (and/or other presentation tools) to support sales efforts. 
  • Manage and improve marketing and sales tools including the demonstration show floor. 
  • Assist in the annual budgeting process. 
  • Establish and maintain vendor relationships, develop vendor quoting procedures and scheduling requirements for literature and media. 
  • Analyze and source promotional items as needed. 
  • Utilize and optimize systems/platforms in the creation and delivery of marketing solutions including, but not limited to, CRM, Constant Contact, Ariba, Google Analytics, InDesign, YouTube and LinkedIn. 
  • Maintain a rep database with current and accurate contact information for the effective dissemination of marketing messages.

Job Qualifications:

Work requires a professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, which is equivalent to that which would be acquired by completing a regular four-year college program.

  • Bachelor’s Degree required 
  • 5+ years experience in Business-to-Business marketing; HVAC preferred. 
  • Understanding of digital platforms and tools and best practices for content, email, and social marketing 
  • Experience in written, visual, and verbal communications; demonstrated in a portfolio of work 
  • Able to balance creativity and pragmatism: technical, aesthetic, and business considerations 
  • Excellent people and consensus building skills 
  • Dependable, delivers projects on deadlines, and within budget, leading to business results. 
  • Capability in desktop publishing, graphics, web, and content management software; in addition to basic personal computer skills 
  • Some travel required (5 - 10%)
