The Marketing Communications Specialist plays a key role on the Ergotron Global Marketing Team in supporting external and internal communications programs. You will work with two Marketing Communications Managers to further Ergotron’s mission of movement through a variety of communications channels. You will serve as our social media champion, developing and posting engaging, interactive content on multiple channels. You’ll write blog posts, emails and produce a variety of marketing materials in support of our team’s marketing initiatives.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop content for Ergotron’s social channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube) 
  • Write copy for multiple communications vehicles, including email, blogs, video scripts, company website, etc. for internal and external audiences. 
  • Support ecommerce efforts by developing consumer-focused email campaigns and promotions.
  • Serve as a copy editor for sales support materials, presentations, white papers, ads, flyers and more. 
  • Provide support for marketing initiatives, including events, webinars and campaigns. 
  • Track and analyze marketing communications performance and trends. 
  • Additional duties as requested. 
  • Supports “Lean Business Enterprise” initiatives for continuous process improvement and waste elimination.

Position Requirements (Knowledge and Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications or Marketing preferred, but not required. 
  • 2-4 years of experience in a communications role. 
  • Enthusiastic about social media; enjoys interacting on social and creating engaging social media content. 
  • Customer-service oriented; motivated to respond to customer inquiries that come in via social media in a quick and friendly manner. 
  • Creative and curious; willing to experiment with new ways of communicating to internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Organized and detail-oriented workstyle. 
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite and some familiarity with the Adobe Creative Cloud software is beneficial (e.g., Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator or Premiere Pro). 
  • Understanding of AP Style guidelines. 
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet project deadlines. 
  • Has initiative, drive and the ability to work in some ambiguity. 
  • Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job as described to you for the position.
