The Marketing Communications Specialist works directly with the marketing and communications team to strategically develop, execute and analyze customer-facing communications that support the brand, programs, and marketing objectives. Requires marketing communications knowledge to guide clients toward effective solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Executes strategic communications plans that support brand, product and business groups activities; including assisting in the creation of integrated marketing communications plans (IMCP), creative briefs and downloads, use of appropriate channels, messages and communications tactics. 
  • Assists in global product positioning, messaging and core creative development working with marketing ensuring cross-functional collaboration. 
  • Works closely with manager to ensure IMCP and/or campaign plans are in alignment with marketing and/or business objectives. 
  • Establishes strong relationships with key stakeholders and communicates proactively to manage expectations, project timelines, and logistics. 
  • Analyzes, reports, and extrapolates IMCP and/or campaign results for stakeholders. 
  • Aligns with manager to ensure budgeting, planning and execution are integrated into overall departmental priorities. 
  • Maintains projects within allocated budget, proposing cost-saving measures where appropriate. 
  • Collaborates with external vendors to ensure initiatives meet expectations. 
  • Ensures all regulatory and internal approvals are gained for projects and tasks; maintains project records using department procedures and tools. 
  • Supports the planning, execution, post-event deliverables of webinars, tradeshows and other in-person events. 
  • Researches new event options using data from past shows and other relevant information to assess the relevance of events and advertising for alignment to business objectives. 
  • Works with vendors and internal resources to negotiate contracts, direct exhibit design, communicate to stakeholders, provide post-event analysis, and ensure event timelines are met. 
  • Assists with additional projects and duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or a related field. 
  • 2+ years of marketing communications experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in Adobe Suite (including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign). 
  • AP Style writing. 
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Ability to understand complex technical information. 
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills. 
  • Ability to build relationships with other teams and manage deliverables. 
  • Mature problem-solving skills for triage of complicated business challenges. 
  • Knowledge of multi-channel marketing best practices and fundamentals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using digital project management software. 
  • Event and/or tradeshow coordination experience. 
  • B2B experience
