As a Marketing Communications Writer/Editor on the Marketing Communication Services Team (aka the Optum Everycare Creative Team), you’ll be a vital part of our mission to create and bring ideas to life that directly help our organization to deliver exceptional care to patients and clients across the country.

We’re seeking a motivated, talented and inspired individual ready to lean into the development of content for materials that support the marketing objectives of our MedExpress and Optum Everycare teams, including but not limited to collateral, emails, social and on-line content.

Our team supports both MedExpress (a well-established care delivery organization within the Care Solutions part of Optum Health that provides high-quality, convenient and affordable health care in 160+ neighborhood medical centers across 10 states) and Optum Everycare Now (a new kind of hybrid health care model, combining innovative virtual care and in-person care for comprehensive and convenient solutions). We are a part of the broader Optum Health Marketing Team and work closely with the MedExpress Communications Team and other departments within Optum Everycare.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and deliver content that effectively meets business objectives and aligns with audience and stakeholder needs 
  • Write and edit communications that are clear, simple, error-free and grammatically correct, as well as adhering to applicable style guidelines and brand standards 
  • Revise and update communications and assets, as requested by marketing managers 
  • Approach work with a relentless focus on continuous improvement, identifying ways to streamline, simplify and optimize deliverables and processes 
  • Provide support for special projects and initiatives of the marketing team, including light project coordination efforts and tasks 
  • Well versed in writing for a wide array of media, including signage, emails, one-pagers, social posts, long-form blogs and web copy

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, English or related field 
  • 2+ years of experience in writing, editing and creating content in a marketing, communications or related field 
  • 2+ years of experience in writing for a wide array of media, such as signage, emails, one-pagers, social posts, long-form blogs and web copy 
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements.
