Marketing Content Copywriter

As Marketing Content Copywriter you will support the Marketing and Human Resources teams to bring our internal and external brand to life. You will create written and video content pieces that are smart, informative, and fun. It’s your job to know what’s important to our customers in the safety industry, as well as Magid team members and prospective candidates in the marketplace. You’ll get this information based on independent research, interviewing customers, attending safety events, and sitting down with Magid’s in-house experts to tap into their vast stores of industry knowledge. You’ll leverage a variety of communication vehicles to ensure messaging has the desired impact on our target audiences.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Senior Copywriter to research and write weekly content for the safety industry – both editorial and scripted for video 
  • Write and edit brochures, flyers, eblasts, and other communications for use in direct digital marketing and by our sales force 
  • Research and create training resources for the safety industry 
  • Write and edit human resources content for our internal company audience and for external prospective employees 
  • Research and understand customer pain points and trends in the industry 
  • Plan and write press releases and other promotional content to raise industry awareness of new products and offerings 
  • Assist the Marketing and Human Resources teams in creating new and interesting content to be delivered via our company resources page, social platforms, webinars, presentations, etc. 
  • Other projects and assignments as needed

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related field 
  • 3 - 5+ years of B2B marketing experience 
  • Ability to write fast, concise, clean copy that needs minimal editing 
  • Accuracy in editing and proofreading work for others 
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and on-deadline 
  • Proficient in independent research with good interviewing skills 
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills 
  • Strong verbal skills 
  • Understanding of SEO and social media 
  • Team oriented / customer focused 
  • Understanding of public relations and a background in journalism are a plus 
  • Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
