In this exciting new role you will be collaborating with cross-functional teams to project manage the day-to-day development and execution of corporate marketing content. You will work on a global level, in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, to ensure the content strategy delivers against defined business objectives and are supported across business groups and geographies.

To accomplish this, we will rely on you to provide leadership and guidance on how to:

  • Collaborate with internal teams and functions to help define both the brand story and how best to tell that story by platform and/or channel
  • Leverage insights in to action
  • Tailor content for audience segmentation and localization
  • Optimize content across formats
  • Deliver brand consistency and strategic positioning

You will be an integrator and choreographer of content initiatives, both internal and external, across multiple platforms and formats to drive brand awareness, engagement, reputation, leads and positive customer behavior.

A Day in the Life:

This position is responsible for optimizing and implementing the content strategy for key corporate marketing thought leadership programs and sponsorships.

Campaign Strategy and Execution:

  • Lead the execution of the brand reputation editorial plan. Work closely with Corporate Marketing Director and Content Strategist to provide guidance and strategic direction to the content developer/writer/agency so the content created strengthens the corporate marketing campaigns, building trust and broadening perceptions with key audiences.
  • Lead the Corporate Citizenship editorial team to generate story ideas and build an editorial plan that delivers against the messaging framework and strategy. Provide guidance and strategic direction to the content developer/writer/agency so the content created strengthens our reputation and achieves our goals.
  • In close collaboration with the Corporate Marketing Director, Content Strategist and regional marketing and digital colleagues, lead the project management of country-level content development that address reputational gaps and opportunities based on quantitative research findings.
  • Collaborate with the Content Strategist on content development needed for expanded channels and platforms.
  • Work closely with the integrated marketing team, providing insights and direction to improve the global impact and relevance of our storytelling techniques, sources and formats to advance Medtronic’s POV on transforming healthcare with external stakeholder targets.
  • Collaborate with the integrated marketing team to coordinate efforts to maximize impact.
  • Lead the development and execution of strategy presentations, advisory briefings and other consensus-building efforts.

Cross-Functional Coordination and Communication (internal and external):

  • Direct the content development team (writer, PM, social, digital) to ensure they have a clear direction on objectives, audience, timing, budget, strategy and metrics desired and all content and deliverables required for execution.
  • Lead the project management of the content through all phases of development with agency partners and internal resources. Schedule, prepare, route and track jobs from production to final delivery.
  • Coordinate the review process. Ensure timely review of all activities by relevant internal and external partners. Consolidate feedback and ensure insights and best practices are incorporated, escalating barriers/risks to relevant stakeholders and helping to provide solutions and ideas for resolution.
  • Proactively manage timing and actions to ensure key milestones are covered in meeting agendas, etc.

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor Degree
  • 5+ years’ experience in a marketing or communications role involving content development
  • Project or Program Management

Nice to Haves:

  • Master’s Degree
  • Strong Content marketing experience including content development, audience segmentation, targeting and engagement
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Global content marketing and digital marketing experience
  • Healthcare industry experience helpful
