POSITION SUMMARY:

The Story Marketing team uncovers and understands stories across the enterprise, in order to create brand experiences that showcase audiences throughout the BTM ecosystem. The Marketing Content Specialist plays a critical role in developing multi-channel and audience strategies that will resonate, properly highlight those we serve/partner with, and drive brand affinity and/or action. This position can be hybrid or remote (US).

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Works collaboratively with Marketing teams and business groups to understand business objectives and implements multi-channel content strategy to meet our audiences on their terms. 
  • Communicates proactively by providing recommendations, plans, project status, issues, barriers and solutions. 
  • Provides input on project/creative strategy that defines project approach and in-market tactics. 
  • Based on strategy and campaign plans, collaborates with creative partners to execute communications. 
  • Develops and maintains effective working relationships with stakeholders throughout the organization to effectively develop and implement creative strategy. 
  • Researches, uncovers, and manages outreach to potential story leads (paitents, donors, volunteers, etc.) through internal mechanisms and teams, and external research 
  • Collaborates with team leader to establish clear project goals, and then works to achieve those goals in collaboration with team. 
  • Tracks and analyzes project metrics and progress to goal. 
  • Regularly reports project results to their team leader. 
  • Provides meaningful updates to broader Marketing team and department. 
  • Provides recommendations for continuous improvement and optimization. 
  • Oversees storage and organization of all raw and refined story assets 
  • Manages consent and use of stories in-market – go-to resource internally to ensure stories are told appropriately and that all necessary approvals are in place 
  • Interprets and adheres to branding guidelines, and confidentiality policies for all audiences and proprietary Be the Match information

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of:

  • Content marketing, content strategy, content creation, problem-solving, ability to assess data and pivot quickly to optimize output.

Ability to:

  • Demonstrate strong relationship-management skills.
  • Demonstrate advanced written and oral communications, including writing and editing experience.
  • Implement effective campaigns to engage and motivate audiences across multiple digital channels including but not limited to social media.
  • Must exemplify our Be The Match Standards.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Marketing or related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience creating and implementing integrated marketing/communication plans and projects; engaging audiences to learn and take action.
  • Project management experience, including planning and execution; writing to public and professional audiences, across multiple communications channels.
