The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for bringing the marketing team’s strategies to life to deliver the best overall customer experience. They will work closely with the marketing organization to support sales and marketing iniatives (programs and campaigns, etc) and utilize their skills to help execute these activities to increase demand and drive revenue. This position reports to our Marketing Communications Manager.

This position is based in a quiet, professional (but not stuffy!), corporate office environment in Schaumburg, IL. We wear jeans on Fridays and host celebratory activities throughout the year! Our office is located within the Schaumburg Corporate Center, which offers many amenities including an on-site fitness center, convenience center, deli-style restaurant, dry cleaners, hair salon, and covered parking.

MESASURES OF SUCCESS:

  • Website maintenance – update text, product imagery, SDS and specimen labels as needed for business unit sites 
  • Facilitates and executes sample orders, check requests, invoice payment and program rebates 
  • Tracks and reports on sales buy-in programs to Business and Sales Managers 
  • Provides marketing program/campaign setup, form management, supply agreements and reporting for appropriate business units (verticals) 
  • Coordinates the renewal of contractor agreements with Director of Sales and Legal 
  • Supports new product launches by creating spec sheets and organizing/distributing launch materials 
  • Facilitates new vendor set up process by interacting with sales reps and acquiring proper paperwork 
  • Maintains the inventory of sales support materials making sure all resources are available and accurate on the collateral ordering website 
  • Works with Marketing Specialist to facilitate and execute trinket and wearables fulfillment along with managing individual employee budgets with third-party vendor 
  • Serves as a liaison between marketing and the field sales force to provide support as needed 
  • Collates and distributes daily mail and prepares and ships UPS packages as needed 
  • Complies with legal and ethical standards consistent with CLS policies and guidelines 
  • Maintains familiarity with laws and regulations governing regulated product marketing 
  • Acts as an advocate for a positive work environment

IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a relevant field (science based preferred) 
  • 1 – 3 plus years of experience in marketing, preferably in a related industry 
  • Strong communication skills; written, oral and formal presentations 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint 
  • Knowledge of SAP a plus 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties to remain organized and meet deadlines 
  • Exceptional project management skills and experience leading cross-functional teams 
  • Self-motivator able to deliver satisfactory work under limited supervision 
  • The ability to perform and find alternative solutions under pressure 
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner 
  • Energetic and enthusiastic personality required

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Work is conducted in a general office environment with occasional business trips as necessary (travel less than 5%).
