Position: Marketing Coordinator

Reports to: Marketing Manager

Job Description: Are you a creative thinker who loves coming up with new ideas to showcase a brand and drive engagement on social media? Are you detail-oriented with exceptional grammar and proofreading skills? Do you believe variety is the spice of life?

Then you may be a good fit for our full-time Marketing Coordinator position at Blue Harbor Resort & Conference Center. This is a hands-on, on-site position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-focused, deadline driven environment because we have a wide variety to showcase to our audiences and each day in the office my feel like an adventure.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and execute a social media strategy through competitive research 
  • Create an effective social engagement strategy that includes generating, editing, publishing, and sharing daily that builds meaningful connections 
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices, trending topics, current technology standards and market trends 
  • Monitor analytics and create reports to identify successes and to evolve initiatives to provoke outreach, conversations and engagement 
  • Develop new ideas and strategies for expansion on social media platforms 
  • Photography and videography content onsite and during live events 
  • Collaborate with marketing manager on integrated marketing plan and assist with the creation of content 
  • Create, proofread, and edit copy for various projects to ensure a consistent brand voice 
  • Updating and maintaining the internal display systems to ensure continuity of resort images and information 
  • Assist with graphic design for advertisements, print and digital signage, e-mail campaigns, menus, posters, social media content, etc 
  • Assist with execution of email marketing 
  • Assist with website content development and updating 
  • Assist with preparation of media kits 
  • Maintain a solid understanding of Blue Harbor Resort & Conference Center’s mission, brands, products and services, markets and target audiences 
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Journalism, or Public Relations or equivalent experience. 
  • Must have a minimum of one-year work experience in social media or related field 
  • Deep knowledge of social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) as well as emerging channels that may be part of the future for Blue Harbor Resort & Conference Center’s social strategy 
  • Must be grammatically proficient with a strong skill in creative writing 
  • Knowledge of travel/hospitality industry preferred 
  • Self-starter with ability to work both independently and collaborate with managers 
  • Ability to meet deadlines and on a daily basis and multitask in a fast-paced environment 
  • Proficient in use of software application such as Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, Hootsuite or similar scheduling tool 
  • Advanced photography, videography, and editing skills highly desirable
