Nadi Design, a service-based, award winning, international firm of urban designers, landscape architects, and interior designers with offices in Chicago, Winnipeg and Saskatoon, is seeking a talented, committed and disciplined Marketing Coordinator to join our team. Our ideal candidate is an enthusiastic self-starter with a proven track record in delivering a full suite of marketing activities for a creative environmental design firm. In consideration of the ideal proponent, a full time, part time, or contract applicant may successfully fill this position.

MARKETING MATERIALS:

  • Review and refine Nadi Design’s current marketing material (include the rewriting, reorganization and potential reformatting of all marketing material, ensuring consistency and alignment with the firm’s strategic vision and brand. 
  • Oversee and edit written and graphic marketing materials 
  • Maintain the supply of marketing materials so that they are readily available 
  • Contribute to publications and videos by the firm 
  • Represent the firm at select professional events 
  • Maintain and update staff resumes 
  • Prepare weekly marketing reports 
  • Maintain and develop the firm’s social media campaign 
  • Maintain marketing text and images database 
  • Assist with website development 
  • Send initiations and plan events 
  • Provide support in development of presentations and additional collateral material

PROPOSALS AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT:

  • Responsible for the assembly, publication and shipping of all RFP/proposal pursuits. 
  • Extensive client lead generation and RFP research / tracking 
  • Research business opportunities, project solicitations and Requests for Qualifications/Proposals 
  • Research design competitions 
  • Conduct proposal-specific research as necessary 
  • Create and maintain business development documents 
  • Maintain contact lists, generate and track cultivation correspondence 
  • Maintain prequalification forms and forms for government-related projects (330s) 
  • Attend pre-proposal meetings 
  • Maintain consultant and teaming partner lists 
  • Maintain and update staff resumes

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain the firm’s existing client contacts and project opportunities database 
  • Facilitate client relationship-building activities and events 
  • Set up meetings and events with clients, internal teams and professional organizations

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field
  • Familiarity with online consultant RFP sites such as Merx, Biddingo, etc.
  • Expert knowledge and best practice in marketing software (In-Design, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) are essential to this position.
  • Strong written communication ability and an in-depth understanding of the design industry are also highly sought after skills for this position.
  • 5-10 years business development experience in a design environment
  • The ability (on occasion) to work overtime/evenings/weekends to achieve deadlines
  • Occasional marketing/business development travel is expected
  • Occasional cold calls and attendance at meetings
