The Role:

As a member of the Brand Equity & Activation team, the Marketing Coordinator will ensure that great ideas are executed with excellence. This important position requires an exceptionally organized project manager who has keen attention to detail, stellar communication skills, and a passion for marketing and the cannabis industry. You will interact daily with our events & experiences, innovation, creative, local marketing, sales, compliance, and external partners, keeping our team and the work organized and running smoothly.

The right candidate must be a team player who thrives in a culture of collaboration and creates organizational systems to improve our speed to market. They will be structured but flexible and will be quick to roll their sleeves up to support our expanding business goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage imagery and product descriptions for upload to both internal (RISE) and external menus, coordinating with outside dispensary platforms as needed to ensure speed & accuracy.
  • Manage strain descriptions in GTI’s flower genetics library across all markets. 
  • Oversee packaging production templates for new products and markets, learning bespoke software systems as needed. 
  • Manage transition of creative files from Box to GTI’s Digital Asset Management platform. 
  • Create, customize, and distribute Canva templates to local markets. 
  • Lead the expansion and customization of Budtender/PCS training courses to new markets. 
  • Lead periodic audits of available merchandise, display tools, and POS to ensure catalogue(s) are up to date. 
  • Assist with budget tracking. 
  • Assist with field marketing and retail events in IL, on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications:

  • Entry-level position; Bachelor’sdegree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. 
  • You have a genuine interest in and passion for brands and the cannabis industry! 
  • You are an adept project manager, with high attention to detail and strong organizational skills. 
  • You are a strong written and verbal communicator, across all levels of the organization.
  • You operate with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information. 
  • You love a fast pace and don’t mind the occasional pivot. Cannabis is highly regulated and often requires quick thinking and multiple pivots to make things work. 
  • You can organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects under strict deadlines, with multiple, opinionated stakeholders across the organization. 
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or Smartsheet is also a plus.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to occasionally work local events, which may occur on evenings and/or weekends. 
  • Must pass any and all required background checks. 
  • Must understand and comply with the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of Green Thumb. 
  • Must have a solid understanding of and/or come to master the rules and regulations set forth by the state/DOA. 
  • Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
