The Marketing Coordinator position will require a focused, organized and self-motivated individual who will be responsible for assisting all marketing related operations. This position reports into the Director of Global Branding located at our corporate headquarters in Chicago.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create fresh ideas for marketing, PR, digital and event strategies. 
  • Research and evaluate media outlets, assemble and analyze media editorial calendars, negotiate costs with media vendors, keep detailed budget and manage invoices. 
  • Coordinate all elements of special events. 
  • Research and evaluate industry trade shows/conferences for relevancy, assist in all aspects of trade show production including booth design, shipping of support materials to show site, selecting promotional items, arranging show staff and keeping a detailed show/conference budget. Create and maintain ongoing annual calendar of Industry Functions and Events. 
  • Website management including weekly site evaluation, News section updates, minor back end content updates, approving new users and managing Contact Us emails from the public. Development of sales materials and tailored customer presentations from inception to delivery of printed materials or electronic files. This includes content assembly, writing of creative briefs for agency, detailed proofing, attaining legal approval, and arranging delivery of printed materials. 
  • Coordinate the printing and installation of signage for all locations. 
  • Handle promotional swag program for employees and special events: managing online store, facilitate ordering and keep track of inventory. 
  • Work with agency to draft Press Releases and distribute through appropriate channels. 
  • Occasional miscellaneous office support including submitting invoices to Accounts Payable, Filing, Shipping via FedEx etc.
  • An undergraduate degree in communications, advertising, public relations, journalism, marketing, or similar discipline and no less than three (3) years of experience in marketing or similar role. 
  • Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing. 
  • Candidates must be very organized, energetic, possess strong written and verbal communications skills and have strong attention to detail. 
  • The ability to take copious meeting notes and follow through with thoughtful recap documentation. 
  • The ability to deliver overall marketing communication strategies in alignment with business goals and objectives. 
  • Knowledge of social media platform best practices and the ability to remain current on evolving usages and tactics. 

Skills: 

  • Microsoft Office Skills required, 
  • Email and Marketing Automation Platforms preferred, 
  • Adobe Suite Skills preferred
