Position Details

Marketing Coordinator
Twin Cities Metro
Oak Park Heights, MN

Assist in planning, execution and assessment of strategic and tactical marketing and sales programs for The Home Depot Business Unit (THD BU). Leads assigned portions of the marketing and sales programs and provides support for all aspects of the marketing mix (product, pricing, distribution, and promotion) in order to grow sales and profits through our category management strategy and tactics.


  • Lead various marketing and sales projects working with internal and external THD BU delivery partners. Help oversee displays and merchandising – including both marketing and operational elements and serve as the point of contact for marketing assistance and support of field associates. 
  • Assist in the development and deployment of training materials for field sales team in support of new product launches, product extensions, and promotional programs. Plan and coordinate field programs, including development of point of purchase materials. 
  • Manage and create assets in support of marketing programs, including literature, images, and sales tools. Manage and provide coordination for marketing programs, timelines, and deliverables with various vendors. 
  • Coordinate, in collaboration with Category Marketing Managers, the submission of promotions and tab submissions to The Home Depot (THD) to elevate the brand. Review tabs from THD for accuracy and ensure the message is consistent with brand standards. 
  • Create digital and social content to engage consumers and support THD promotions. Assist in development and support of key customer events. 
  • Monitor, track and analyze THD and competitive advertising for all product categories. Manage THD BU literature usage. Solicit quotes to assure availability at lowest cost while retaining quality. 
  • Lead bi-monthly working sessions with cross-functional teams to execute displays. Actively participate in cross-functional project teams to complete assigned marketing projects and programs. 
  • Day to day collaboration within THD group delivery partners and source divisions
  • 4 year degree, business/marketing major, or strong concentration preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be acceptable depending on candidate. 
  • No prior marketing or work experience required 
  • Basic skill set including communication, organization, basic business acumen 
  • Positive, energetic, open to direction 
  • Detail oriented self-starter who can work with minimal to moderate supervision
