Job Summary:

Liaison and support to the Marketing Department for communications and administrative needs. Provides support for list and database management, social media, programs and events, and digital and print content creation and deployment. The marketing coordinator also provides copywriting, proofreading, and quality control across multiple channels, including omnichannel marketing campaigns and promotional materials.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Provides administrative support on behalf of the Marketing Department, including marketing and communication initiatives, live activities, online activities, and member inquiries. Administrative support includes email list management, customer database management, website content management, and other administrative activities as needed to support ongoing programs, courses, and events. 
  • Coordinates distribution of creative materials, including print ads, web banners, and social media promotions, working with vendors and internal stakeholders. 
  • Provides detailed proofreading support for all major inbound and outbound communications generated by the Marketing Department. 
  • Writes content for digital communications including newsletters, eblasts, and website content. 
  • Drafts and schedules social media posts on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube and provides suggestions for content and campaigns to drive engagement and increase visibility. 
  • Tracks and reports performance measurements of campaign tactics. 
  • Works with key stakeholders to disseminate information, messaging, and materials for CNS programs, events, and courses. 
  • Provides additional administrative duties, including printing, mailing, and stocking/inventory of key marketing supplies. 
  • Assists with outreach to members and prospects, including call campaigns, membership dues communications, and general marketing inquiries. 
  • Assists with other projects and activities as necessary.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications preferred. 
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a corporate or nonprofit environment. 
  • Experience in copywriting, proofreading, email marketing platforms (such as MailChimp), and social media management platforms (such as HootSuite). 
  • Strong knowledge base of Microsoft Office and Outlook programs. 
  • Experience with database management is required; ability to manage and maintain data records with accuracy. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to work independently, but also contribute to a collaborative team environment. 
  • Work well under pressure and possess effective problem-solving skills. 
  • Flexibility to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines. 
  • Must be professional and demonstrate personal integrity.
