The Marketing Coordinator works with the Marketing Manager to develop and implement all marketing and communications initiatives for the property within an annual marketing plan including, but not limited to, special events, public relations, static and digital signage, website, social media, promotions, community relations and related activities. Additionally, the individual in this role, builds relationships with tenants (retail, restaurant, office, etc.) and coordinates multiple channels of communication (verbal, written, digital) to build engagement and brand recognition for the property, while helping to drive traffic resulting in sales to tenants and overall growth of the property. As a member of the property marketing team, the Marketing Associate is a proactive ideas generator, creator, and collaborator (both written and verbal) on projects. This position works all events, including weekends and evenings, to ensure marketing initiatives and goals are met.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

The following are the essential duties and expectations of the role and not an exhaustive list of the intricate position details:

  • Develop and implement new and existing promotions and special events from pre-planning through execution. Additionally, communicate programs to all tenants and customer service teams.
  • Lead and manage the execution of events and promotions in accordance with the event plan. Includes weekends and evenings events as scheduled.
  • Create, organize, and upload content for the website, social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram), blogs, email campaigns, Google My Business posts, and printed materials.
  • Develop written and visual content for email campaigns, including any property specific newsletters.
  • Create, proofread, and edit copy for various marketing channels, ensuring a consistent brand voice.
  • Capture photography and/or videography for multi-channel marketing use.
  • Build relationships with all tenants and manage merchant participation in promotions and special events, merchant group meetings, and more.
  • Assist the Marketing Manager and coordinate the program schedule for the property Marquee, and placement of collateral on property, as needed.
  • Serve as a contributing member on property’s public relations team including agency and Marketing Manager.
  • Assist Marketing Manager and develop promotional license agreements and promotional service agreements, ensuring that all communications fall within legal guidelines and events are supported by the appropriate agreements.
  • Expect that there will be other duties assigned or modified as needs dictate.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in marketing, public relations, journalism, advertising, or similar discipline.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in a similar business-to-consumer organization or advertising agency, preferably with experience in the commercial property management industry.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign; in addition to MailChimp, Sprout Social, Google Analytics, YouTube, and MS Office suite.
  • Photography and video content production is a plus.

  • Professional demeanor and professional level written and verbal communication acuity per audience.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative team member.
  • Ability and desire to build strong, effective relationships (both written and in person) with team members, community, vendors, and partners which focuses on the needs of the property and marketing goals and objectives.
  • Exceptional organizational skills (prefer some project management experience) with a preference for working in an ever-changing environment.
  • Sound, critical thinking and analytical ability capable of assessing situations and circumstances.
  • Creative and proactive approach, able to streamline work in order to maintain bottom line efforts in the midst of multi-tasking and daily re-prioritizing.
  • Strong decision-making ability and equally attentive to detail.
