Greenheart International is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to connecting people and planet to create a more peaceful and sustainable global community. We achieve our goals through a unique set of programs and initiatives fostering cultural exchange, eco-fair trade, volunteerism, personal development and environmentalism. Greenheart encompasses three main branches: Greenheart Exchange, Greenheart Travel, and Greenheart Shop.

Our Greenheart Exchange Professional Exchange Programs, within Greenheart International, are exchange programs for young professionals. These programs include the Summer Work Travel program, Intern and Trainee programs, as well as the Teacher program. The purpose of each of these programs is to promote public diplomacy and good faith between the United States and other countries through the opportunity to work in American businesses and schools.

What we’re looking for:

This role will be the heart of marketing for our Professional Exchange Programs (PEP). They will collaborate closely with the three PEP teams and marketing department members to ensure PEP department goals are being met through effective marketing tactics.

Some things you might do our Marketing Coordinator:

  • Assist in meeting our goals for the Professional Exchange Programs departments 
  • Collaborate with Program Directors to develop and maintain an annual marketing strategy and budget for PEP teams 
  • Attend PEP team meetings to ensure marketing has a visible role on their teams, and to keep teams up to date on Marketing projects 
  • Manage Email Marketing Platform, Get Response, by finalizing email designs, uploading and nurturing lists, and sending emails for the three PEP departments 
  • Ensure PEP teams maintain the Greenheart brand through managing collateral and content creation 
  • Work with graphic designer to update sales packets, banners, and other collateral for three PEP departments 
  • Manage web content and inquiry form updates to the Greenheart Exchange website for three PEP departments 
  • Complete staff marketing requests submitted via request form in its final state and after the staff member has exhausted their own marketing knowledge 
  • Plan distribution of promo items among three PEP departments and work with graphic design on annual orders 
  • Support PEP teams on marketing efforts related to conferences and tradeshow (e.g., ordering sales packets, promo items, banners, follow-up strategy) 
  • Support conference committees with relevant marketing tasks and strategies (e.g. WTC) 
  • Create annual video strategy with supervisor and support videographer on both pre- and post-production tasks (e.g., script writing, filming, distribution) 
  • Manage strategy, monitoring, and tracking of Google Analytics 
  • Collaborate with Marketing Director on tracking the effectiveness of our Google Grants 
  • Create and manage digital advertisements on LinkedIn, online publications, etc. 
  • Train staff on various marketing initiatives so that they also can take an enthusiastic and interested approach to marketing efforts 
  • Help to motivate program staff members to think outside of the box and creatively 
  • Support the team members by building morale or practical assistance, when needed 
  • Other duties as assigned

Some qualifications you should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree required 
  • 2 – 3 years of Marketing experience, preferably in a non-profit environment 
  • Creative and out-of-the-box thinking 
  • Self-directed and flexible with an exceptional ability to multi-task 
  • Efficiency with data entry, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work in an exhilarating and fast-paced environment 
  • An ability to interact and communicate with groups of all ages, nationalities, ethnicities and backgrounds 
  • Genuine desire to contribute to an organization that promotes cultural exchange and environmental consciousness 
  • Outgoing personality with a willingness to learn 
  • Strong work ethic and excellent written, oral, interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Excellent computer skills with competence in Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. 
  • Experience with Photoshop and other similar applications is a plus, though is not necessary
