Marketing Coordinator

The Big Picture:

Mortenson’s Sports + Entertainment group is seeking a curious, detail-oriented, and creative individual to join our marketing and business development team as Marketing Coordinator.

The Marketing Coordinator is an integral part of the team, as this role is responsible for positioning our services and equipping the BD and construction team members to successfully interact with targeted customers, from proposals, 1:1 meetings to speaking engagements to social media posts.

We are looking for a strategic yet outside-the-box thinker, persuasive storyteller; a creative, resourceful problem solver who gets things done in a deadline driven, dynamic work environment while working with the best people in the industry.


What will you be doing?

In the role of Marketing Coordinator, you will be responsible for consistent execution of marketing and business development strategies/goals to deliver best in class proposals, collateral and content with the primary objective of new business acquisition and demonstrating Mortenson as the builder of choice.

The Marketing Coordinator:

  • Supports project acquisition through business proposals 
  • Produces high quality proposal and presentation content that differentiates Mortenson and demonstrates how we solve problems for our customer 
  • Develops content that serves as the voice of the customer, always balancing the message of our differentiators as it relates to the customer’s journey 
  • Creates/designs brochures, presentations, posters, invitations, e-blasts, etc. 
  • Manages the group’s social media platforms 
  • Assists in developing content to support the group’s overall marketing strategy 
  • Coordinates presence at events such as trade shows, conferences, conventions, etc. 
  • Coordinates and prepares project, company, and team member award submissions 
  • Maintains marketing and business development file structure and CRM system updates

  • Passion for learning, develops intimate knowledge of our target audiences 
  • Experience with CRM applications 
  • Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite CC (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

Education / Years of Experience:

  • Degree in Marketing Communications, Graphic Design, Journalism, English, or related field. 
  • 2-6 years of related experience; architectural, engineering or construction industry preferred.
