The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the development, scheduling, and analysis of the brand’s social media content and channels, as well as designing and shepherding digital assets, print collateral, and other marketing-related materials. The Marketing Coordinator will serve as a valuable contributor and participant in marketing and communications activities, campaign and program management, and department operations. Additionally, the Marketing Coordinator will assist with ad hoc projects related to media relations, donor development, volunteer engagement, and community partners.

Following an initial 3 month onboarding period, this position may work remote up to 40% of time.

  • Collaboratively develop engagement strategies and creative concepts that support the brand’s mission, vision, values, and overall marketing communication objectives. 
  • Serve as a knowledgeable Second Harvest Foodbank brand resource for internal and external partners and embrace brand guardianship best practices. 
  • Confidently execute an approved social media and content strategy across Facebook, YouTube, Twitter (X), Instagram, LinkedIn, and other platforms, that increase brand awareness and encourages engagement. 
  • Create, schedule, and publish content while regularly monitoring and participating in relevant dialogue. 
  • Assist with cause marketing efforts by recommending and executing promotions as approved by the DM&C. 
  • Develop a variety of marketing and development assets and templates e.g., event signage, one-sheeters, brochures, newsletters, annual reports, etc. that properly convey the brand’s equities and assets. 
  • Be proficient working in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. 
  • Coordinate and publish website content, landing pages, and other digital engagement experiences. 
  • Assist in creating and maintaining email campaign and e-newsletter delivery calendars.

Qualifications include two years of professional work experience including graphic design and marketing projects, a minimum of one year of experience managing social media platforms on behalf of an organization or company. Coursework or formal training in a related field, experience shooting and editing photography and/or videography, and lived experience with the impacts of systemic racism or marginalization are preferred. A portfolio of digital content and campaign executions designed by the candidate are required for evaluation.

Salary Range: $45,186 - $54,246/year, based on experience.
