We are seeking a part-time Marketing Coordinator (2-3 days per week) to assist with preparing Proposals, Graphics, and Marketing Materials. The successful candidate will be based in Chicago, have experience working in a Landscape Architecture or Architecture studio, and be self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented, collaborative environment. As we continue to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, this person will be required to effectively and efficiently work from their home. This person must have the ability to be flexible, detail-oriented, and handle simultaneous assignments with success and accuracy.

The Marketing Coordinator will work collaboratively with the firm’s Director of Marketing + Communications and Principals on a number of tasks, which may include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the preparation of proposals, qualifications, and presentations for new project pursuits, including graphic design/layout, customized content, coordination of consultant information, copyediting, and submission of materials. 
  • Participate in maintaining up-to-date firm marketing materials for past and ongoing projects, such as website content, project photography, standard collateral (e.g., resumes, project profiles), social media posts, and more. 
  • Support the creation of other custom marketing, public relations, and outreach materials, including but not limited to professional award submissions, marketing-related brochures, graphics, and publication content.

Qualifications and Capabilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Graphic Design, or similar is preferred. 
  • One (1) to four (4) years experience in marketing or communications at a Landscape Architecture, Architecture firm, or within the AEC industry. 
  • Design experience is beneficial, but candidates should note that this is not a design position.
  • Experience responding to RFPs and professional writing (e.g., grants, publications, etc.) is helpful. 
  • Exceptional graphic, written, and spoken communication and storytelling skills. 
  • Experience with proof-reading and editing is preferred. 
  • Competency and experience in the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (e.g., InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and the Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel). 
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Strong interest and knowledge in landscape architecture, architecture, and design. 
  • Enthusiasm and interest in learning and becoming integrated in firm processes.

Commensurate with experience.
