The marketing coordinator is responsible for a wide variety of administrative and operational tasks to assist the company’s senior management and business development staff in the development and implementation of marketing strategies that convey a clear, consistent and positive image for the company and coincide with the strategic direction/objectives of the organization. This position reports to the Vice President of Corporate.

Responsibilities:

  • Creates press releases, blog posts, case studies and other relevant content 
  • Updates and maintains media lists 
  • Creates and distributes electronic newsletters/eblasts and internal We Got the Job! eblasts 
  • Creates & delivers social media content via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & LinkedIn 
  • Selects, creates & manages advertising program 
  • Creates, monitors and regularly updates all marketing collateral & promotional materials (project sheets, project lists, employee project experience lists & bios, reference letters, reference lists, company/team organization charts, project control tools, master project list, etc.), both print and digital. 
  • Attends proposal-kickoff meetings and assists the team with the preparation of proposal materials, including gathering, verifying, and ensuring that the various aspects of proposals, resumes, project sheets, corporate/departmental write-ups, etc. and other marketing materials are accurate and delivered in a timely manner 
  • Assists with business development (research prospective clients, maintain CRM database, support client relations program, support in the measurement of client satisfaction through client surveys and conduct perceptions studies); when required 
  • Creates & updates company website content 
  • Creates blog posts & solicits employees for blog posts and approves for appropriate content 
  • Reviews award opportunities & prepares/submits award nominations related to completed construction projects as well as personnel/company achievements 
  • Reviews sponsorship/trade show/panel presentation opportunities & facilitates participation 
  • Plans & executes groundbreakings, grand openings, ribbon cuttings, and other company events 
  • Maintains & updates all company databases & mailing lists (Outlook, Highrise, Constant Contact) 
  • Maintains all marketing and business development supplies (printed brochures, tabs, front and back covers, binding materials, etc.) 
  • Orders & maintains inventory of all Summit gear and relevant promotional items 
  • Orders & maintains job specific and general site signage 
  • Coordinates photography corporate/project and maintains rendering and photo files 
  • Creates and sends corporate holiday cards and other event invitations 
  • Assists with corporate holiday gifts and works with leadership/Business Development on the approved recipient list 
  • Submits business card orders for new employees and process reorder requests. 
  • Performs market research (monitor industry-related market information; read publications relevant to business plan goals, target markets, forecast trends; evaluate/ analyze research studies) 
  • Updates the weekly Marketing Meeting Project Tracking sheet 
  • Other supporting tasks as determined by the Vice President

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or related area 
  • 3-5 years of professional marketing experience providing marketing support in the A/E/C industry is strongly preferred 
  • Computer proficiency in all Microsoft applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) 
  • Experience with Word Press, Photoshop, Constant Contact and Cosential or similar CRM program is required 
  • Advanced Adobe Acrobat skills such as text and image editing a major plus; form creation an added bonus 
  • Social media experience is required 
  • Outstanding creative writing and editing skills (grammar, spelling, conciseness, etc.) 
  • Ability to organize and design information and materials for clear and concise presentation to clients 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills 
  • Works well in teaming / collaborative environments 
  • Creative mindset with the ability to spot original branding opportunities and willingness to take measured risks that challenge the status quo 
  • Strong attention to detail, organization skills and the ability to effectively handle competing priorities, juggle multiple assignments and tight deadlines – and do each one well in detail
