As Marketing Director, Healthcare Surgical, you will support Ecolab’s industry-leading, Global Healthcare organization with a primary focus on driving growth in the fast-paced surgical market. You will have responsibility for both the Ecolab-branded surgical drapes and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) businesses, partnering with the leading surgical equipment manufacturers (including robotic assisted surgery partners) to innovate and drive profitable growth. Ecolab is the industry leader in both spaces and this role will build on the vision to extend that position. As a member of the team, you will play a key role in serving as an anchor to the division’s value proposition and growth strategy and be essential in controlling the spread of infection.

Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this role requires a seasoned business leader who can manage at both a strategic and tactical level and will interface with executive management and across functions to set and help drive commercial activation strategies.

What You Will Do:

Create and execute plans which fuel robust growth and profitability. This includes developing and implementing strategies for:

  • Innovation 
  • Pricing 
  • Portfolio optimization 
  • Cost Savings 
  • Digital 
  • Demand Generation

Develop in-depth market knowledge and remain current on trends in robotic assisted surgery, spine procedures and orthopedic procedures

Understand the medical device and competitive landscape and communicate how Ecolab’s solutions and customer experience are differentiated in the market

Work with commercial teams to develop strategies for accelerating growth through direct and non-direct channels such as distribution, group purchasing organizations, and OEM industry partners

Drive alignment with senior leadership on resourcingand budgeting

Plan and develop personnel for succession of self, team

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a business-related field 
  • 10 years professional sales and/or marketing experience in the healthcare sector 
  • Strong knowledge of North America healthcare, including FDA and other regulatory agencies, professional associations, payors, and providers 
  • Prior supervisory experience 
  • Experience working with direct and non-direct sales models (distribution, group purchasing organizations, OEM industry partners) 
  • Experience creating and delivering customer-facing presentations, with visibility to top executives 
  • Ability to travel 10-25% based on need

  • Knowledge of infection prevention and control practices and protocols 
  • Knowledge of surgical/operating room practices and protocols
